Ethiopian Chia Seed
Ethiopian chia seed, bought from growers and cleaned and graded to the specification you send us. Chia is grown as a cash crop across several Ethiopian regions and sells into the food ingredient trade, where it goes into breakfast products, bakery, drinks and health foods.

What buyers usually specify
- Colour: black or white seed, or a stated maximum proportion of the other. Most contracts name one.
- Purity and foreign matter: the allowance for other seed, stem, husk and dust.
- Moisture: set by your storage and shipping conditions rather than by us.
- Cleaning: how far the seed is cleaned, and whether Sortex sorting is required.

How we quote
ECX sets the standard, but every buyer has their own. Tell us the purity, moisture, and oil-content figures you need, and we’ll come back with what’s actually achievable from the current crop , no commitment required. A shipment that fails the specification does not travel.
