Ethiopian niger seed, known locally as noug, bought from growers in Gondar and Wollega and cleaned and graded to the specification you send us. It is crushed for cooking oil inside Ethiopia, and exported both for oil extraction and for the birdseed trade, where Ethiopian seed is a recognised origin.
What buyers usually specify
- Oil content: the figure that matters most to crushers, and the one we confirm against the current crop before quoting.
- Purity and admixture: how much other seed, husk and foreign matter you will accept.
- Moisture: set by your storage and shipping conditions rather than by us.
